Introducing Dual Enrollment at Skyline Gila River

In our commitment to empowering students for success, Skyline Gila River is thrilled to introduce Dual Enrollment as a new pathway for our juniors and seniors. Through our partnership with Chandler-Gilbert Community College, students have the opportunity to enroll in in-person courses on our campus. This past semester, ten students took advantage of this program, with Dr. Chandler, our Vice Principal, leading two courses: EDU 221 Introduction to Education and EDU 282AC Service Learning in Education. Looking ahead, we’re excited to expand our offerings, including the addition of CIS 105, Survey of Computer Information Systems, taught by Mr. Angel Carrasquillo. Additionally, our collaboration with Grand Canyon University opens up a wide array of online Dual Enrollment Courses for our students to explore.  Lastly, congratulations to the pioneering group of ten students who were the first to participate in our dual enrollment program, earning 6 college credits. Your initiative and achievements pave the way for future success!
